The Supervised Diver course at the Deep Eilat club allows you to dive to a depth of 12 meters under professional supervision in just three days.

Course Schedule and Structure
The Supervised Diver course at the Deep club begins every Sunday throughout the year. The course spans three days, though groups of six or more participants enjoy full flexibility to choose a start date that suits them best.

The day begins at 08:30 AM and concludes around 3:00 PM. In some instances, to maintain small group sizes and ensure maximum safety, we divide trainees into morning and afternoon groups. Practical in-water dives begin on the very first day. Each day, you will complete two dives and attend in-depth theory lessons to learn about the underwater world and the physical forces acting upon a diver.

**Dive Sites and Future Certification**
The course includes three fascinating dives at the Coral Beach Nature Reserve in Eilat. The reserve is renowned for its immense wealth of colorful fish and rare corals, guaranteeing an underwater experience unlike any other.

Upon completing the SDI Supervised Diver program, you will be able to dive under the direct supervision of a certified professional up to 12 meters. A major advantage is the option to upgrade your certification: during the first year, you can simply complete the remaining 4 dives to become fully certified Open Water Scuba Diver (1-Star).

**What are the prerequisites and what does the course cover?**
To join the course, you must be at least 12 years old and in good health. The course covers a wide range of theoretical and practical topics:

**Theoretical Aspects:** We will explore the history of diving and the marine environment, covering topics such as underwater vision and light, heat loss, tides, currents, and waves. We will focus on diving physics and physiology, buoyancy, Boyle's Law, and the effects of air pressure on the body's air spaces. You will also gain an in-depth understanding of diving equipment—from the mask and fins to the regulator, tanks, and personal dive computer.

In-water skills: Before heading into deeper water, we will conduct a swimming assessment consisting of a 200-meter swim without aids (or 300 meters with a mask and snorkel) and a 10-minute survival float. In the water, we will practice assembling and disassembling the diving system, clearing your mask at depth, breathing without a mask, using the dive computer correctly, and communicating underwater via hand signals.

Safety and rescue techniques: A significant part of the course is dedicated to emergency situations and first aid. You will learn techniques for towing a fatigued diver, relieving muscle cramps, handling out-of-air situations, and using a buddy's alternate air source during a controlled ascent to the surface.
