Under Israeli recreational diving regulations, a refresher dive is mandatory for any diver who hasn't logged a dive in the past six months; its purpose is to ensure you return to the water in the safest and most enjoyable way possible.

What does a refresher dive at Deep Siam include?
The refresher dive lasts approximately two hours and covers key theoretical topics alongside the most important in-water exercises. It is important to note that a refresher dive is not a guided tour of a dive site; it focuses exclusively on critical diving skills and therefore does not include underwater sightseeing. Activity Schedule and Curriculum:
Theory Lesson and Professional Briefing: We will conduct a general review of theoretical topics, including buoyancy control, proper movement in the water, marine environmental awareness, and diving physiology. We will refresh your knowledge regarding the effects of pressure, nitrogen narcosis, decompression procedures, and emergency protocols.
Equipment Assembly and Open Water Practice: Under the close supervision of an instructor, you will assemble your diving gear and head out to sea for practical training. During the dive, we will practice regulator clearing and retrieval (using two methods), weight belt removal and replacement, use of an alternate air source (octopus), and a controlled emergency ascent. The instructor will also work with you on improving buoyancy control and the proper use of a dive computer.
Wrap-up and Recommendations: At the end of the dive, we will systematically disassemble the equipment and hold a personal debriefing with the instructor, who will provide recommendations for your future diving activities in Eilat.
Schedules and Refresher Tracks Based on Diving Experience:
We offer refresher courses daily at set times: 08:00, 10:00, 12:00, and 14:00. The type of refresher course is determined by the time elapsed since your last dive:
Group Refresher (up to 3 years without diving): Suitable for divers who have not dived for a period ranging from six months to three years. Private Refresher (3 to 5 years without diving): For divers who haven't dived for an extended period, a private refresher session with an instructor providing personal attention is required; this includes comprehensive, focused practice.
Extended Refresher Day (over 5 years without diving): Those who haven't dived for more than five years require an extended private refresher day lasting approximately 6 hours. This day includes two dives and an in-depth theory session to ensure a thorough return to full diving proficiency.
